I need help playing Netflix on my 24” desktop older Mac. Thanks

Welcome to Apple Support Community.


It sounds like you may have an older iMac 24-inch from 2007, 2008, or 2009. If this is the case, unfortunately, it is possible that you can't use Safari to watch Netflix on your older Mac as it's no longer supported. However, other web browsers fully support OS X El Capitan, the version of OS X you should be using. If you aren't upgraded to OS X El Capitan, upgrade here: How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support.


You can then use Chrome, the last major browser that supports OS X El Capitan, to watch Netflix.
