Netflix not working on mac

whenever i try to access netflix on my mac, a popup appears & asks me if i'll allow netflix to download. if i click yes, netflix appears in the downloads folder and the link just doesn't exist. if i click cancel, it just goes back to a new tab. how do i fix this?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.3

Boot into Safe Mode:

In Safe ModeLogin Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, attempting another login. For instructions, go here: How to Use Safe Mode on your Mac - Apple Support
