Notes on Upgrading the MacOS:

I. Degrading Resulting from Monterey

Monterey had worked just fine for me on my 2017 MacBook Pro. I've have no degrading of issues with it. If anything you might want to be cautious of, note that after you upgrade to Catalina and after, that you will only be able to install and use 32-bit applications. So, if upgrading from pre-Catalina, that you may need to uninstall software, and get a comp able install of it (as the developer for assistance).

II. Giving a Week to Update:

Note that I always wait a week to install an update. Why? Because compatibility issues may come about that hare reported. So, you may want to consider ding the same.

III. Typical Issues from Upgrading:

A. Incompatibility may play a role in this. So, you may have to upgrade your software to a newer version, if it is for a newer operating system.

B. Failed Install:

Sometimes, an update can fail due to power issues, or losing connection to Apple's servers. So, know to always backup your Mac prior to upgrading.

First, Create a Time Machine Backup;

Start by creating a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the upgrade. Go Here: Back up your Mac with Time Machine - Apple Support

Thanks for the detailed info. I moved from 12.3 to 12.3.1. I get issue in even safari and Numbers which are apple apps. So not sure what is the cause.

Hardware has been checked by the service center as being fine.

Erased disk and reinstalled from recovery mode.

Issue still persists. Lets see if we get another update in case there is an issue with the release.
