i have an encrypted sparseimage disk on my icloud drive that i would like to access from my ipad. when i click on it from Files, it gets downloaded but i get a blank screen without the possibility to enter a password. any tips?

Ok thank you; what a shame... that would have been useful to safely share files across multiple devices.
The option I guess is to use password-protected Notes that sync across the multiple devices, but that restricts the content.
To the best of my knowledge and immediate research, macOS sparseimage files cannot be accessed from iOS/iPadOS.
