iOS 15.4.1 mail not loading on iphone

Since the 15.4.1 IoS update, my emails are not arriving on my iPhone 13 pro unless I refresh the mail app. Also, no notification of mail sound. They're also taking an age to sync with my MacBook. I don't where to look in my settings that I haven't already tried, or is it the update and there's nothing I can do other than moan to Apple?

Same here, two map accounts, two different models of phone (iPhone 8 and SE2) both with the same problem since updating to 15.4.1 = Very annoying.

C'mon Apple, this is a basic feature of all smartphones - stop adding more complex stuff and fix the basics.

They are probably moving up the bar. Lol. It is very frustrating that every time I wait from a minute or two just to get into my emails and when I click a link from it an email it resets the clock to go back. I’ve removed all Microsoft emails under the outlook app and planing to use Gmail an Yahoo apps independently. It sucks when everything was at your finger tips but that’s only a dream now. .

So after speaking with Apple’s tier one tech who started with the usual turn everything off and on again (like we are all a bunch of idiots who don’t already know the simple things to try) I backed up my iPad to my Mac mini and then wiped it clean and restarted and reloaded my iPad and that fixed the problem! So I’ve come to the conclusion that iOS 15.4 doesn’t do a proper installation from Apple or they have since fixed the installation problems and haven’t said anything about there being a problem! Either way this fixed the problem for me. It has nothing to do with old Apple products as I had the problem with my iPad 11 Pro. As usual it was something with the software.

Yes rebooting fixes the issue TEMPORARILY. My issue is that mail is very slow, can’t load/open attachments quickly. Sometimes the mail content disappears and I have to end task and reopen mail. Very annoying. I gave up my iPhone X which was working perfectly fine for the “next best thing” which is a crock of sh**. Very disappointed in apple.

what is the solution here? This is clearly an iOS bug and nobody here is offering a solution.

I agree. These were the steps I performed. It’s working for me now. Now lag time coming in and out of my emails nor does it freeze for a 20 seconds to a minute either. Another issue that was resolved performing this reset/reinstall. Whenever there was an update for any of my apps, I would tap on update and though it seems like it was updating it would then reset and I would need to tap it again in order for the app to complete its update. It also had a lag time regardless if on data or wifi. I don’t remember reading anyone mentioning this. Could be an isolated issue on my device. Maybe not.

I've given up , I think. I have two gmail/google accounts. One is loaded, has been loaded for a long time and has no issues. The second gmail account was loaded for a long time also, the account is almost as old as the first, like 10-12 years or longer. I-phone 7, up to date, let me look again...yep, software version 15.5, I updated to this in the last few weeks.

The problem is with the second gmail account. It disappeared. I've tried re-adding it and there is nothing magical about doing so. I open the mail app and select the option to add an account. I've tried too many times to recall. The result is a continued message cookies are disabled in my browser. I've enabled cookies on Safari and I also use Firefox enabling cookies on both with no success. I've uninstalled Firefox and made Safari the default browser, enabled cookies, reinstalled Firefox , made it the default browser again, assured cookies are enabled on Safari although not the default browser...I give up. I'll just have to use the second gmail account on my laptop. Incidentally, I even thought maybe something weird with the only browser I use on my laptop (connected to internet via wi-fi with Verizon service provider) so enabled cookies there , went through the process again and again trying to add the second gmail account on my I-phone 7 with same resulting message, " Your browser has cookies disabled. Make sure your cookies are enabled and try again."

I guess I can try contacting google. While there is nothing perfect in this world, this is none the less bizarre as I've used both gmail accounts on I-phone for at least five years I can recall. I've even more recently in the past year set up an account with aol and added it via I-phone mail app with no issue.

I've tried everything that has been suggested in this forum. No big deal, I'll live, it's just that for so long my primary e-mail account with gmail, google, is the one I use more often and cannot add it to my I-phone, it simply disppeared. Iv'e tried google's mail app but should be able to add the account via the Apple mail app. No luck with the google app either. Like I said, maybe try contacting google. The e-mail account in question works perfectly on my wi-fi connected laptop. So I'm just disappointed I cannot determine a fix. :-)
