Bought a new iPad and none of my portable batteries take the new charging cord that comes with the iPad. Have searched so many places and no luck. Anyone been successful in getting a portable battery charger for the newest cord? Hurricane season will soon be here and I don’t want to be stuck with a dead battery and no way to charge it until we get electricity again

A 6th generation iPad should have come with a Lightning to USB-A cable. I'm surprised it does not fit your charger. Are you sure that's what you bought? A 6th generation iPad is a bit old now. What ports does your battery pack have then? What cable did your iPad come with exactly?
Do you mean a 6th generation iPad Mini ? That would have come with a USB-C to USB-C cable. An adapter or a USB-C to USB-A cable should let you plug it into your battery pack.
