Multiplayer Apple Arcade on Apple TV

If I connect two compatible controllers to my Apple TV device, can two people play the same Apple Arcade game as two separate players on the TV (as long as the game supports multiplayer)?

Yes, for games that support local multiplayer.

Other games may support online multiplayer (i.e. through another Apple TV box or other Apple device).
