Thanks for that info. My provider T-Mobile also suggested option to turn off group texts. This means ALL group texting is blocked. New senders will see you cannot be added or will get a “message not sent” reply.

I got a similar one and the yellow circled number is the original texter. This is the number to block. Also, if you click where it says “20 people” then scroll down to the bottom of next screen, you can select Hide Alerts and you won’t be dinged when new texts come in from this group. However, these people just generate new numbers… so far I have blocked two similar messages.

If they’re really continue to bother you, you can also download Text Killer app (free 1-week trial then $30/year) - if you have an iPhone. Cancel subscription if you don’t want it to auto-renew. I’ve only just got it, but it seems to be reviewed well?

Reporting seems like a fine idea. I tried calling and it goes to anon voice mail.

maybe someday apple will provide some kind of filtering for this illegal spamming.

You may have to use third-party apps to filter these or individually block them yourself.

The latest spamming is not a device problem it is a system problem. Got another one today, it is a SMS text (green bubble that originates from an email address. I'm with AT&T and I report them to 7726, it is an issue that the FCC and the cell service providers are going to have to work out.

I clicked on that option then, saw your post. That works for me since I don’t do group texts anyway. This is so ridiculous. Not only are these messages annoying, they are an invasion of privacy. Perhaps, everyone suffering from this problem could file a class action lawsuit. Imagine if we won? We could say GOODBYE to spam calls and text messages FOREVER! Sorry, that’s just a dream I have.

I just got another one. These are sent from foreign countries so who are you possibly going to sue and get your money?

All the spam despite its platform is a result of consumer data being bought and sold by companies we trusted to keep private.

Not when it comes to these scams they just send them to every number they can.
