Is it possible to upgrade from MacOS late 2013 high Sierra 10.13.6 to Catalina , any Catalina version?
The requirements say it is compatible. I tried it once and the computer shut down and I don't see where it was installed. Any solutions? I may have a corrupted hard drive.

Start with this...
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Thanks I will try that. So you are saying to shut down, hold shift key down while pushing the power button on at same time? Then try to install Catalina in safe mode?

Hold the Shift key right after power up, & that is justto repair Directories &flush caches, yiou can then try installing Catalina in Safe Mode or Regular Mode.
