Family member doesn’t have access to my subscription

I added my family member to my subscription. I got the confirmation that she can now use my subscription. But on her iPhone and iPad she still isn’t able to use Apple TV+ without paying for a subscription herself.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 15

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Your family member will need to double check their settings as well to confirm they have purchase sharing turned on. She can go to Settings > Her Name > Family Sharing, scroll down and tap on Purchase Sharing and be sure "Share Purchases with Family" is enabled. Be sure the same setting is enabled in your Settings as well.

The new group member won’t see the Apple TV+ subscription or her own account. (It’s still your subscription.) Instead, she can just access the Apple TV+ content in the tv+ tab of the Apple TV app on her devices, when signed in with the same Apple ID account that she used to join the Family Sharing group.


Verify that she joined the group with the same Apple ID account as used on her iPhone and iPad.
