Haptic Feedback not working on 2015 MacBook

My 2015 MacBook's haptic feedback is not working. All the other functions of the trackpad are working, but just no click feedback through the hardware.

I have reset the SMC and tried all manner of restarts to no affect.

I then purchased a new trackpad through iFixit and installed it and the new trackpad is not working either.

Any ideas? Its not worth having Apple service this old computer, but everything else works well.
