iPhone connection problem on pc

My iPhone 6 screen shows “support.apple.com/iphone/restore”. The problem is that the iPhone 6 will only power up on a wall outlet charger and die immediately after it’s pulled off the wall and then when reconnected to a computer it will not charge or power on. It needs to be restored through iTunes but I cannot do that if the iPhone can’t charge itself after connecting it to my pc.

Also I have tested the cord with my iPhone XS, same exact cord and same pc and it charges the battery and connects to iTunes just fine. So I don’t know what’s wrong with the iPhone 6.

you would need to change battery of your iPhone or buy new phone. You should contact apple support first for further assistance

iPhone 6 is an outdated iPhone (9 September 2014) -> 7 years.

The hardware remains old, so does the battery.

So what can I do to get the iPhone 6 to charge up so it can be connected, like I said it won’t charge up connected to the pc but will begin charging when plugged into the wall using the same cable. I don’t think it’s a problem with the cable or the pc because my newer iPhone XS connects to the pc fine using the exact same cable.

Also the iPhone 6 won’t hold any battery life when charging from a wall outlet. It shuts off and looses any battery life it may have had immediately after being removed from the wall. I need to connect the iPhone 6 to iTunes which is on a computer and the iPhone 6 needs to be able to power on when connected to a computer.
