whether taking a picture or video my camera makes awful noises. Not such a big deal for pics but it ruins sound on videos. It is reminiscent of modem noise or feedback. I think it is related to the focus as it is much more noise when struggling to focus.

If you hear a physical noise when using your camera, it could be related to the hardware in your iPhone that is attempting to focus having issues.
