Add 2 monitors?-24" iMac M1 chip running Monterey 12.2.1

I have added one one external monitor without any problems. But I cannot get a second to work. Am I limited to one or just not doing the right thing or using the right hardware? Thanks in advance.

iMac 24″, macOS 12.2

The following text implies an adapter is available to add a VGA monitor, does it not?
