Hey there, tlfmd,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities to get help with your passwords.

We would recommend starting with the information outlined in How to find saved passwords on your iPhone - Apple Support, which will help you locate where passwords are stored on your iPhone devices.

If you use iCloud Keychain, make sure the feature is enabled: Set up iCloud Keychain - Apple Support. Then, use If iCloud Keychain won't turn on or sync - Apple Support, which has been designed to help troubleshoot issues with passwords synced through iCloud Keychain.

You should get in contact with Apple Support directly after that if you do require further assistance. You can do that here: Get Support.

Hello tlfmd,

Just to confirm, are you using the iCloud Keychain? It's hard to say what exactly might have been the cause. Did you recent ly update the iOS? Did you see this specific section under 'If iCloud Keychain is on, but Safari won't save or autofill account or credit card informationn' of our previous link: If iCloud Keychain won't turn on or sync - Apple Support

Also, Safari doesn't save account names and passwords when Private Browsing is on if you are using it. Get back to us with these specifics, and we can go from there.

Cheers!

Thanks for letting us know that history, tlfmd.

Are you using  iCloud Keychain? If so, check the instructions from our last message which may help: See this specific section under 'If iCloud Keychain is on, but Safari won't save or autofill account or credit card information' of our previous link: If iCloud Keychain won't turn on or sync - Apple Support.

Let us know if the behavior persists after taking those steps. Thanks and take care.
