Generally speaking, though, the rights restrictions on music you've rented through Apple Music don't allow it to be used in any other app.

I would subscribe to Apple Music if Roon supported it.

This! The only reason I do not have an Apple Music account is the lack of Roon integration

Same. Would love to use Apple Music but lack of Roon integration is a barrier. Would switch tomorrow if I could stream Apple Music lossless through Roon.
