Samsung Xpress SL-C410W Color Laser Printer can't be supported by the Mac Book Pro

Hi ,


I recently purchased this macbook pro 14'. My home printer is Samsung Xpress SL-C410W Color Laser Printer, i can't install the printer on this laptop. I contacted the apple support, they told me i have to contact sumsung on this. I feel this is being very inconvenience. All the windows laptop i used could support this printer, how come the latest apple laptop can't support it.


Could any expert help on this issue pls.

The Samsung Xpress SL-C410W printer is mentioned in an HP article https://support.hp.com/us-en//document/c06520117 with a reference to a universal driver for the SL-C430W. The SL-C430W support page (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/samsung-xpress-sl-c430-color-laser-printer-series/16462518/model/16462522) indicates that the Feb 11, 2021 universal driver (https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/SS/Print_Common_SW/Samsung_Mac_Driver_V3.93.01.dmg) can be used with macOS Big Sur.


No information about macOS Monterey.


Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem – Apple Support (UK)

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)


The SL-C410W model does not appear to support the driverless AirPrint technology.


It looks like the model is supported by an HP Samsung Mobile Print app if you need to print from an iPhone/iPad.
