How do I send mass text/mms without having everyone see each others response? Group option not available

Reviving an old question: How do I send mass text without having ev… - Apple Community

On IOS 15.4.1 there is no option to disable or enable group messaging in my case.

Some responses mention that if this option is not available if the phone carrier does not support group messaging.

In my case I don't have any option available related to groups messages, but when I send a MMS and choose multiple recipients they all recieve information about eachother and can message eachother, in other words, group messaging is enabled.

How can I disable group messaging? (I am using the Messages app on iphone)

Not quite sure who's not following who here.

Either way, then the answer would be that it is not possible to send the same message to multiple recipients without creating a group.

And as you wrote and referred to, when adding recipients to a text thread, it creates a group, and there is no way to turn that off.

Thank you for taking time to reply, even though it was a bit harsh reply. (Not easy with web 2.0)

Take care and all the best

That is how group message works. if you don't want anyone to see each other response, then you need to send them individual texts.

Well, my question was meant as how could I send a message to several recipients without creating a group, and how to disable the group function.
Not sure if that was what you were replying to, but I can intrepret from your answer that one can not do this with the Messages app on iphone. Neither send to multiple recipients or disable group messaging.

And just a note, out of the 15 people I sent a message to, only 6 recieved it as a group message, so there is something quite broken with that group functionality. (Was a good mixture of iphone and android phones, and some different phone carriers. But even recievers with the same phone and carrier had different outcomes)

For your last paragraph, the issue isn't on your end, it wouldn't be that the some recipients don't have MMS enabled.

Still have more question, contact your phone carrier as MMS is their feature.
