iPhone 12 only works with USB-C Chargers

Been having this issue for a little while. It happened one day when my old USB charger that has the standard connector (the wider one) stopped working. I didn’t think anything of it since the charger was very old so I just started using the newer USB-C charger that came with the phone. My phone now only seems to work with the newer chargers, every time I try to plug it into one with the old connector, it doesn’t charge at all. I have tried multiple different chargers and none have worked. I have also tried cleaning out the charging port and it still doesn’t work. Any solution?
