Spacebar shortcut to play audio does not work.

Whenever I want to play an audio track or a video on my MacBook Pro, I would always press the spacebar, and the audio and or video would start playing. I recently took my MacBook pro to a repair shop at an Apple Store, and after I got my MacBook pro back, the spacebar won't work as it used to. I tried to use the spacebar on Garageband, but it didn't work, when it typically would. I'm a Pro Tools user, and whenever I would start playback, the spacebar changes the session to shuffle mode instead of starting playback. Anyone else has had the same issue?

Hello, J_M_K_99.

Let's start by taking a look at this article: Keyboard shortcuts in Music on Mac.  If the shortcuts below don’t work as you expect, look in the app menus in the menu bar to see the correct shortcuts. You can also use the Keyboard Viewer to see your current keyboard layout, known as an input source.

Also, with any unexpected Mac behavior, we advise that you restart (Shut down or restart your Mac) and update (Update macOS on Mac) your Mac.

Let us know if we can help with anything else at all or if this doesn't settle your issue. Thanks and have a fabulous day!
