Hi Everyone, I recently did an update to macOS Monterey Version 12.3.1 and now my Dell S3422DWG will not recognize the resolution past 1340 x 1900. It should be able to go up to 3440 X 1440 which it did before the update.
Has anyone else ran into this issue? If so how did you resolve it?
Also, I have tried different HDMI cables, as well I connected the monitor to a Windows 10 machine and no problems recognizing the 3440 X 1440 resolution
I found something in another topic that might be helpful. I can't try it since I don't yet have the monitor.

This cable does not work at all with the MacBook Pro 16" 2021, tested with multiple monitors. This seems to be an issues for users other than me too. Useless cable, they should stop selling it while this issue exists.

I should have it by Monday and I will test and let you know if it works on my MacBook Pro 16" with both the Dell and Asus monitor.
No I just found out that my Asus VG34V monitor is having the same issue.
I can't believe there are not more people having this issue because the more people I talk to about this, the more I hear they are having this issue.
Thank you Illaass, how would that work when the monitor settings are not being found in the settings/display default menu? Is that what it pulls from?

Just upgraded to 12.4. Same thing is happening.

yeah same thing with me as well Luis,
it would to past 1080p which as we all know the monitor can do so much more.
What do you guys think we should do?
I should add that I don't own this monitor but was about to buy one until I saw posts about this problem.
It was working with the HDMI cable prior to the 12.3.1. update
