Replacement denied as invoice doesn't have serial number

Hello All,

I've Apple AirPods and one of them is not working. I booked an appointment at one of the service centres of Apple (Kolkata, IN).

I visited and they said it cannot be repaired but are willing to offer a replacement.

They asked for the invoice and I found the invoice which was sent by Apple and I gave them that.

They denied replacement as the invoice didn't have the serial number of the AirPods.

I contacted support and they again sent me the same invoice without the serial number on the invoice.

What can I do in this case?

Thanks for updating:

Interesting.

While I can certainly appreciate and applaud any company’s control measures intended to prevent fraudulent warranty claims (for which we ALL pay) …

It’s curious that a company (or their designated representatives) might deny a warranty claim based solely on an “incomplete” sales invoice …

… when it was an invoice that they themselves created.

Perhaps the individual with whom you communicated err’d?
