logging in to Icloud with an old Iphone

Hi, I have an old iphone 6 running ios 12.5.5 and working fine basiclly


I'm trying to log in to my iCloud on this phone but i keep getting this message saying "Software Update Required Update this iphone to the latest version of ios to sign in"


I cannot update my ios version becouse this is the latest becase this is the latest version supported by this moddel. what can i do?

This appears to be a bug with 12.5.5, but there’s a work around.


Instead of trying to sign in via the settings app, open the App Store app, tap the face silhouette icon in the top right, then enter your Apple ID and password to log in.
