Logging in to Icloud with an old Iphone 6 on IOS 12.5.5

So here I am with my DFU reseted Iphone 6 on IOS 12.5.5 and unable to log in to Icloud. It is asking for Software Update although the IOS was updated to the latest and greatest.

Is this a bug or a "bug" ? ..... Apple telling us subtly that we are not allowed to use these devices any more ? :D

Will there be any update soon ?

Hi, I think Apple have announced that soon the iPhone 6 will soon stop receiving the latest software update. And I think you will probably need to update to iOS 15 to log into iCloud as it has probably stopped functioning on iOS 12.
