iPad not accepting Apple ID (in some cases) - An unknown error ocurred

My iPad (ios 10.3.4 - Last one possible) returns the above error when trying to, i.e., log into iCloud. However I can log into Find MyPhone and it works. The iPad is in my account and I know the password (use it all the time). I have done everything including Reset All Settings. What else can be done. It's annoying it keeps asking for the password. Thanks.

iPad, iOS 10

Thanks for confirming those details, oriol3,

Since the issue is isolated to signing into iCloud under Settings on your iPad, it may be related to the device's Date & Time settings. Following the steps below from If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services - Apple Support, please check that the iPad has the appropriate settings:

Check the date and time

Make sure that the date and time on your device are set correctly for your time zone.
On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Open the Settings app. Tap General, then tap Date & Time. Get more help with date and time.
On your Mac: Open System Preferences, then choose Date & Time.
On your Apple TV: Go to Settings > General > Date and Time.

If the date and time are incorrect, update them or turn on the option to set date and time automatically.

If you're still not able to get signed into iCloud on your iPad, we would then suggest getting in touch with Apple Support directly: Get Support

Thanks for reaching out, oriol3.

It sounds like you're getting an unknown error when trying to log in to iCloud. We can help.

Keeping in mind that you should never post any of your personal details, such as your Apple ID, publicly take a moment and check in Settings that the Apple ID you expect to have signed in is in fact the one that is. If there is a different Apple ID than the one you expected, that could explain the behavior.

If you can confirm the right Apple ID is signed in, and you have other devices that share the Apple ID, can you access your account on them? If not, or if you don't have any other devices, that could mean something is going on with your Apple ID account and your best option would be to Contact Apple for support and service.

Hope that helps.

Take care.

Thanks for your reply. I know is the correct ID and password. I have 2 more iPhones and I can use that id. Same on my PC (iTunes) I even changed my password to make sure that was not the problem. Also as I mentioned it will accept the password in that device for the FindMyPhone. I guess I'm going to find a couple of hours to call support.
