Alternate Control Methods

I need to use the "Alternate Pointer Actions". With Monterey, this feature is almost useless. I've set all expressions to "Exaggerated" and the pointer still thinks I'm clicking when I'm stone-faced. The rare moment when it does act to correctly recognize a facial expression, it will often hold that expression or for example, with a single left-pucker (my left-click), it will act as if I've rapidly puckered left multiple times causing clicks on many things.

Also, after maybe 10-15 minutes the following messages appear in succession, over and over again. Expression tracking lost... expression tracking restored.... expression tracking lost... expression tracking restored.

I have an Anker Power conference 300 webcam and a Logitec camera and the same problem occurs when using both with my MacMini. The same problem also occurs on my 2020 Macbook Pro. Therefore, I don't think it is a camera issue. The problem started when I initially upgraded from Big Sur to Monterey and has never improved with the updates.

I'm desperate and would love any advice you have.

Thanks!

Mac mini, macOS 10.14
