all photos albums disappeared from my photos app on MacBook

While setting up iCloud photos, All my albums, imports and all other photos diappeared from photos app on my Mac. Where'd they go and how do I get them back?

You may have opened a different Photos Library than before.

check the location of the Photos Library you are currently using. You can see the path to your current Photos Library in the Photos > Preferences > General at the top of the panel. Is it the correct Library? If not, quit Photos, then double click the corr3ctblibrary that you have previously used.
