(most) Album Art not displaying in Music app (Monterrey 12.3.1) after importing from iTunes library (Mojave)

Recently imported a 5 year old iTunes Library from a Mojave computer over to a new Mac studio on Monterrey 12.3.1. About 19,000 songs in, 2000+ albums. The import went almost flawless it seems, except most 'Album Art' is not displaying correctly (just get grey note square). The tracks still contain the artwork, when I play individual tracks, it DOES show the art in the Playing/Info box in the top middle, or in the MiniPlayer. (The tracks also show their art upon previewing in Finder). BUT If I go to Album view, or enable the Album Art view on the left in Songs view, or do Get Info on a track and go to Artwork tab, about 75% are missing. The current exception is that a majority of the older stuff that was imported (2000-2010 or so) seems to be more likely to work properly, and anything new that I import today with embedded art, also works fine. I understand maybe its not pulling out Album grouped art due to import limitations... but its really killing me that it does NOT show anything upon doing a track Get Info and then going to Artwork tab. Appreciate any tips or help or advice!

Here is an example with a track playing in iTunes, and being previewed in Pathfinder. You can see two places artwork is showing, and the places it is not.

Thanks for the reply! Interesting angle.

I checked the Perms now just to be safe, and everything is correct on the folders and files.

Definitely could see the ID3 thing being an issue, BUT I took a number of the problematic mp3s into Metadatics and checked the ID3 tag info. Its all set to ID3v2.3.0... Many of the MP3s that are having this issue were bought directly in Bandcamp, and imported as 320kbps straight from their encoder, so wouldn't be any chance for multiple tags.

To be clear, these mp3s were all showing Artwork perfectly fine in the iTunes install they were imported from. This problem only arose in Music App.
