I just purchased my grandson a new ipone with a different phone number and wireless carrier, we synced the phones to transfer his stuff and now both phones ring when you call either number, how do I stop this

Immediately stop sharing an Apple ID. Ech person, regardless of age, needs her/his own, unique Apple ID.
The person getting the new Apple ID must thoroughly cleanse her/his device(s) before “moving in”. Here is how.
