How do i ping / play sound on AirTag via MacBook (not iPhone)?

We'll help with locating an AirTag using your Mac. This resource has the options on what you can do and the steps: Locate an item in Find My on Mac Sound can be played if the AirTag is nearby.

Thanks Dana but nope. Your link or this other one <Locate an item in Find My on Mac - Apple Support> does not refer TK playing a sound, only locating an item on Maps, as far as I can see.

if you can kindly answer the question about what the steps are to play a sound that would be helpful.

It is not possible to play a sound from an AirTag using Mac, however, you can still see a location and get directions. You can request features for future releases here: Product Feedback
