Disable swipe from left to switch apps

When you swipe from the left of the iPhone screen, the phone removes you from your current app and shows all apps.


How do I disable this feature?


iPhone 8, version 15.3.1


This has been asked several times in the community, with hundreds clicking the button indicating they also want this feature disabled, and only a small handful saying the answer helped. I also found all previous answers unhelpful. If the ability to disable this "feature" did not exist before, surely it does now as Apple continues to adjust products based on feedback.


If someone gives me incorrect iPAD instructions like nearly every other time this has been asked about the iPHONE, I will be very displeased that you are answering questions on a forum yet cannot read.

This is not a way to communicate directly with Apple; it is a user-to-user technical support forum and Apple does not participate here. While I understand that swiping from right to left will bring you to the App Library, I've not seen the behavior you describe where swiping from the left while in an app takes you to the app library. The ability to access the App Library cannot be disabled on the iPhone. You can provide feedback to Apple requesting a change by going to Feedback - iPhone - Apple
