iPhone got wet - will not take charge

My iPhone was submerged in water for a few seconds, it is still working... except when I went to charge the iPhone it's not connecting or given indication that it's charging. It's now in the red and I've changed the mode to save battery. Any suggestions?

Use the Get Support link at the top of the page here to contact Apple Support. If you have an Apple Store close by, use this link to make a Genius Bar appointment to have the hardware examined by Apple. They will explain your options. Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple It sounds like the water has caused damage to the charging port.
