How do I make apple reminders notify me of a weekly task one week after it is completed instead of one week after it is due?

I have a weekly task - sometimes I'm a little late getting to it. I'd like to reminded one week after I mark the task completed instead of 5 days later (if I was 2 days late getting it done.) I don't see a way to do that?

That makes more sense.

I don't believe that's possible with the native reminders app. You might want to consider a 3rd party to-do type app. There are a number of free ones in the App Store. I think I recall the Microsoft to do app being able to do that.
