No signal

Good morning, I want to ask you something. last year i bought an iphone in taiwan. but when the iphone was brought to Indonesia. my husband did not register the imei at the airport. did i lose signal because my iphone imei is not registered in indonesia?

How do I find out who the provider is for the phone I bought? I just bought this phone for my son and it was suppose to be a us-cellular phone but the IMEI # can’t be found. How do I find out what service provider it is under or if I can use it?
