Mac Mini 1 on LG 27ud58-b

I recently got a Mac mini M1. I could not get it to run 4K at 60ghz either via HDMI or thunderbolt port. It can only run at 30hz. The mouse movement is lagging at 30hz. it is really frustrated. I was running 4K 60hz on Windows fine with this monitor

I had a Samsung monitor with 2 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort inputs. When I connected my Mac mini M1 to my monitor via HDMI, I also had the refresh rate at 30 Hz and could not get it to 60 Hz.

I reviewed my monitor’s user guide to make sure it was capable of 60 Hz, which it was. I did notice on the spec page that the monitor’s HDMI 1 was rated at 30 Hz and HDMI 2 at 60 Hz. So I reconnected my Mac to HDMI 2 and all was well.

Have you tried to connect your Mac to the other HDMI input, if your monitor has another?
