Music app doesnt stop songs at appropriate point

Hi everyone,

So i use the music app for my downloaded music and when i set a specific stop point for a song my mac fails to stop the song at that point and continues to play till the end of the full song. E.g. if i set a song that is 5 minutes long to end after 4 it still plays to 5 minutes, this only occurs on the mac whereas my phone and ipad recognise the stop point fine?
