Cannot create a partition on my SSD with a bigger size than 1,88 GB

Hello,

I am trying to set up a Linux bootable partition on my MacBook Pro mid-2012.

(I have done a TimeMachine backup)

I would like to have a 120GB partition, and the free disk space is currently 250GB.

The thing is, Disk Utility won't let me choose a bigger size than 1.88GB. I cannot drag the cursor more to the left, and the box is greyed out...

Looking for some hints !

Thanks

Pierre

The only way I've been able to beat this was to erase the drive and start from scratch. I've never had the problem with the internal drive; only external ones.

I'm sure there are other ways, let's hope someone who knows them responds.
