M1 Max chip and OS not playing nice together?

My 16" M1 Max laptop seems to be developing what I can only describe as a toxic relationship with its own operating system (Monterey 12.3.1). Application bar won’t appear when needed, Command-tab to scroll through open apps either won’t come up, or seems to do nothing for a solid 2 minutes and then switches me into another app in the middle of my typing (that one is SUPER fun!), or hot corners get stuck…all happening randomly and inconsistently. I can still click on visible items, but can't get to anything I've hidden until the functionality returns (unless I can see the hard drive icon, and find my way to the app I want).

I've restarted.

No noticeable pattern to it.

thanks!

Try the following:

Update macOS.

Try Safe Mode.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac.

If that does not help, then get expert service and support at the Genius Bar.
