Transitioning from DropBox to iCloud

For years my I have used DropBox as my defacto "Documents" folder on my work and personal Desktop and MacBook portable computers so that I had access to my documents no matter what computer I was using.. With the introduction of iCloud One I can save $s if I cancel my wife's and my DropBox accounts and share the 2TB iCloud One storage. I also just got a new Mac Studio and figured this would be a good time to clean up my file storage and management. I moved my DropBox files into an iCloud folder called "Files Moved from DropBox". Once I check that everything is there, should I just move those files into the Mac Studio's "Documents" folder? If I do, will my Mac Book Air see all of them too? Any assistance would be appreciated by this old computer nerd (my first desktop computer was a CPM based DEC Rainbow and my first Mac was a Dual Floppy Mac SE....)

Mac Studio, macOS 12.3

Hey CAPTBobJ,

You can learn more about how iCloud+ works with Family Sharing by checking out the article here: Use iCloud with your family

Be sure to check out the section that says "Share using iCloud" for more info on using iCloud Drive to share files or documents.

Also, here's another helpful user guide: Keep your files up to date and share them with iCloud Drive

We hope this helps!

Best regards.
