System preferences is not responding to mouse clicks

Hello,

Such a strange thing, the system preferences is not reacting to mouse presses, I can only navigate through the main menu, but when I open a specific preference, like “General”, mouse clicks, scrolls, doesn’t work inside it.

I will try to restart computer and see if that is fixed after restart

Try the following:

Update macOS.

Try Safe Mode.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac.

If that does not help, then get expert service and support at the Genius Bar.
