AppleCare+just replace the screen but there are scratches

I dropped my phone on the floor, the front screen was obviously cracked. However technicians just replaced the front screen as 1st incident. But when I received the repaired device, there are very obvious scratches on the surface especially on the metal sides and around screws closed to charging port. It is hard to distinguish if it is my duty or technicians‘ during repairing. One technician told me the cosmetics damage isn’t included in repairing and I can not ask replace the entire device. He even said these scratches do not influence the trade in. But I think his word just is “************” because my friend told me his iPhone was recycled as $0 attributed to cosmetic damages. There is no functional damages. I need to know if
