When I search a link on MacBook Air 13, the window comes up but immediately another grey page goes over the first window

Hi John, I will try to explain the problem again if you don't mind. The link I type in the searched engine comes up and looks fine so I start reading and then another page suddenly replaces the original page , this one looks different very simple looking has no pictures or no links that I can click for more information.
