Can I restore a closed tab group in Safari?

I accidentally deleted a tab group which contained important tabs. I don't remember which tabs were there exactly, and I'd like to restore the whole group.

I tried pressing "+" to see recently closed tabs, but I don't see the tabs from my group there.

I don't see them in the history either.

Moreover, I created a new tab group, opened a page in a tab, closed it, pressed "+" in that tab (!) and did not find it in the list of the recently closed tabs. I cannot see in the list of the recently closed tabs in the main / default tab group either. So, it appears that tabs closed in tab groups do not appear in the list of the recently closed tabs.

I would appreciate it if anyone could suggest a way to restore my tab group or at least to improve Safari in the future making it possible to restore closed tab groups or at least individual tabs from closed tab groups.

Thank you.

Hi mysunglasses,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand why you'd want to bring those tab groups back and want to help.

There doesn't seem to be a way to restore those tab groups. You can, however leave feedback for Apple and request a feature here:

Cheers!
