Heart rate data no longer exports

I've been using the "Workouts" app on my Apple Watch Series 7 for about six months to record my runs, however, after my run today, it no longer exports the heart rate data (but is recording it!).

I first imported it into Strava via the phone app, and noticed the data missing.

I then did an export of all Health data to my laptop, and the heart rate data is not in any of the gpx files (non of the past ones either).

However, if I look in Health -> Activities at my workout, I can find the complete heart rate data time series. So I know the data is there!

Anybody else having this problem? Any thoughts on how to get the data out?

Hello DoktorFaust,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble exporting your heart rate data from your Apple Watch to the Health app.

Try restarting your Apple Watch: Restart your Apple Watch. Also, check for updates: Update your Apple Watch

You'll also want to check out the "Add information from your Apple Watch" section of this article to make sure that your settings are correct: Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch - Apple Support

Your health data can be exported in XML format. Which format are you exporting the data?

Check out the last section "Share your health and fitness data in XML format" from Share your data in Health on iPhone.

No, I don't think that's the issue. The heart rate data is in the Health app. That's fine. The problem is that it no longer exports, either to Strava or when exporting all data from the Health app.
