The MFi (Made For iPhone) part of your Starkey hearing aids make them compatible with your iPhone in Accessibility. Your Starkey App provides the ability to control your Starkey hearing aids via your iPhone and your Apple Watch. Adding a complication on your Apple Watch face is directly linked with the Starkey app. If you look at the Apps on your Apple Watch is the Starkey App still listed? If it is you should be able to use it as a complication on your Apple Watch. Did you also install the last Apple Watch OS update? Were you using TruLink for Apple Watch?

You might think that Apple would survey their Accessibility-Hearing Device users to see what complications they use on all of the iOS devices before changes are made. I am dreaming. Go to Apple Feedback and put a bug in their ear regarding what happened to you with the last few changes. I get frustrated with some of the MFi changes when a user has an iPhone, Apple Watch and wears MFi hearing aids. I have sent in a few feedbacks. I do understand that changes in iOS and firmware on MFi hearing aids do change as well as Bluetooth advances but you would expect some backwards compatibility. Sorry you lost the functionality that was working.

I promise you the Starkey app has nothing to do with the complication for my watch face. Even my audiologist says not to use the Starkey app (and yes, it is still available), but to use the native Apple Accessibility feature instead. Other people with other brands of hearing aid are having the same problem. The hearing aid complication is not even listed as an option for any watch face anymore. TruLink is not a very good App, and I have spoken to Starkey about it. It was the last Watch update, a few days ago, that the complication for hearing devices (which recognized my Starkey aids) disappeared. This happened to a lot of people with different brands.

It not an app. It’s been in the watch control panel. It used to be an app. Then they moved it to control panel. Now many of us can’t control the volume of our aids or cochlear brands devices because of it. It’s set in a complication and set through accessibility features.

i lost it to with the last update. It’s insane the watch allows us to set something but not a single watch face offers it and it’s no longer in the control panel for some of us.

While I appreciate the effort that link after reading it until Nov of last year. Has nothing to help. Apple Watch used to have it be able to be set as a complication. It still technically says to set it. The problem is like 2 updates ago apple moved it to the control panel of the watch. With the last update it no longer offers it on the control panel. There is also 0 watch faces which allow it to be set as a complication anymore. Like a dummy I removed the watch face I had a while ago that had the complication since I didn’t need it. Since it was on the control panel. So with the last update the watch doesn’t do anything for cochlear brand at least 5 or below. Even when set to mirror the phone etc

I have Starkey hearing aids. There is a Starkey app in the Apple Store, but the complication for the watch synced with the Apple native Accessibility in Systems. My hearing aids are still paired through Accessibility/Hearing Aids on my phone, along with the ability to control volume, environments, etc (this is all separate from the Starkey App). The ability to chose the complication for the watch face was an option on the Apple Watch by accessing My Watch on the iPhone. That ability disappeared overnight with the new update.

rgilbert, helpful suggestion! I have made no progress. I saw my audiologist today and even she did not have an answer I have Starkey aids. I think I will give Starkey a call. I no longer have the Starkey app on my phone. Deleted it a long time ago because it was useless. I pair my aids, and control them, thru the native Apple system. I wonder if I need to reinstall the Starkey app. Thanks for “activating” my mind. Jane

Yes, it was Apple Watch OS8.5.1. iPhone 12 iOS 15.4.1

Bluetooth is on and connected to Apple Watch. Accessibility>Hearing Devices>MFI hearing devices Starkey Halo iQ i2000 connected.

As I said, I had the complication for Apple Watch face on my the face of my watch. It was easy to adjust volume and environment from the watch. Now I have gone back to 3 clicks on phone button to bring up adjustment window.

Thank you for trying to troubleshoot.
