See key answer here ( who made the bug, who fixed it, who didn't document it ) :

Looks like this problem was fixed with Security Update 2022-004 Catalina!
With Catalina being three generations of macOS behind now I think you know the answer. There are other bugs still in Catalina that will likely never be fixed now either. Just security patches from now on. If your Mac can support Big Sur or Monterey it’s time to update. Just my opinion.
Check for an update from the drive manufacturer for their proprietary software you are using to manage the NTFS drive. It is up to the third party developers and manufacturers to make sure their devices and software are compatible with macOS with each update Apple releases. I don't know if your drive manufacturer has updated their software yet although I've heard that the developer they use may have finally updated the driver, but whether the drive manufacturer has passed this on to you with the drive manufacturer's software is not known.
If you don't like having a macOS break the third party software you are using to manage the external drives, then don't use that third party software. Instead, let macOS manage those drives by using a macOS built-in native file system such as exFAT if you need to share the drive with Windows, or use MacOS Extended (Journaled) if you will only use the drive with macOS.
Instead of answering that you don't know, you started reading morale to the user. The fact is that the Catalina is officially supported and Catalina 2022-003 update broke NTFS and does not work with any manufacturer's software, so this is a huge issue.
Catalina 2022-004 Security Developer Update Beta 2 (19H1910) was realased at Apr 19, 2022 and Catalina 2022-005 Beta 3 (19H1915) was released at Apr 26, 2022, so I hope that the fix is coming.
So what if the security update did indeed break NTFS? And what if it broke because the security update patched a flaw that affected the NTFS software. What if the NTFS software was taking advantage of that flaw to begin with? We know precisely nothing about what went on and for a user to loudly proclaim Apple is duty bound to “fix” something it is not responsible for is disingenuous at best. I would advise not commenting about something you know nothing about. And again, none of us know anything about this.
As for hoping for a fix coming, you would better off contacting the developer of your third party software

That is great that a third party has been able to update their NTFS driver (I wasn't aware iboysoft had an NTFS driver before), but it still leaves users with the same potential problem with the next macOS update or upgrade breaking things again. In my opinion it is much better to use MacOS Extended (Journaled) or exFAT file systems for external data drives when used just for connecting other Macs or when needing to share with Windows respectively.

Apple released 3 day's ago Security Update 2022-004 Catalina and based Reddit users - https://www.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/tg56hj/after_security_update_2022003_catalina_gives/ the NTFS issue is fixed.
All I know is that a lot of apple users have been effected by this. My solution is I will be purchasing a new computer soon & it definitely won't be an apple product.
