Have a new iPad and can't use my email address

I updated my password for my Apple ID and it won't let me sign in to my new ipad with this email or another email and all I do is keep going in circles. The ipads are very user-UNfriendly. How can I do anything on my new ipad without being able to sign in?

Some things you can try. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.


Try a restart.


Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch    *


Try a forced restart. See the section towards the end of the article.


Reset Device. -


If necessary


Hard reset.     -


Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from the backup.


Restore to Factory setting.      *


Restore - If you see an error when you update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.   *


Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.     *

Eric, thanks for your suggestions. I've been an avid Aphone (Android) user for many years and my iPad is brand new. No matter which email I use, it's telling me it's invalid or already taken but I was easily able to update my Apple ID and password on my android cell but my iPad doesn't want to cooperate. I'll give your suggestions a try after Apple lets me back in tomorrow.
