Excel File data lost

My excel file which is being stored at iCloud missing all the data that I've key in for the past 2 days. Upon opening the same file this morning, it says that it was last updated on early March. Can anyone help me on this? The data is very important to me and I do not have any other copy.

It's likely that you saved the file under a different name or somewhere else.

But, try viewing history under File > Browse Version History. Any changes that you made would be reflected there if you autosave the document.

I've looked into other folder but apparently no duplicate file. Apart from that, this is the latest file that I'm working on. On the list of recent file, this one is on the top list but date of last modified was on 16th March.

The history button is in 'grey' colour and unclickable.

Basically it seems like the file was missing without a trace.
