I upgraded to a new mini iPad so I reset my older one to give to a family member. I downloaded the kindle app. When I select it, the app opens to the home page of the kid under a tree and then immediately closes. I have shut down the iPad and restarted (several times) and deleted and re downloaded the app (several times) but it will not open. The iPad is running version 12.5.5 but says software is up to date. Any other ideas?

Try the Following App: Kindle E-Reader Help - Apple Support. If need be, install it on a different device. Also, there is lots of troubleshooting mentioned there.
