My iPhone 6s Plus keeps killing third-party wires and original apple wires won't charge it

My iPhone 6s Plus keeps killing third-party wires after one use, like just only when I connect my iPhone to my Mac to sync music, after plugging it out and in, the cable stop working entirely, I think the iPhone short the cable and original apple wires won't charge it, ad I think the originals have a short protector and prevents it from killing the wire.

Nah I don't need to replace the battery as that's my old phone, I am deciding to use it as for my car's CarPlay, I already upgraded to a 12 Pro but thanks.

Old lithium ion batteries can swell, causing damage to other components. So, even if you're not relying on the battery for power, not getting it replaced may have a deleterious effect on your use of the phone.
